Notary Service Fee = Base Fee + State Prescribed Fees

In Pennsylvania, basic fees for specific notarial acts are prescribed by the Commonwealth. However, Pennsylvania notaries are free to charge reasonable discretionary administrative/service fees in addition to the regulated fees.

BASE Fee = $40

For regular, in-person notary service (NOT real estate/loan settlements/deed packages/mortgage refinancing, vehicle titles or other specialized cases 

Sample baseline costs for various services:

In-person service, one document with one notarized signature:  $45

In-person service, one document with two notarized signature:  $47

Note:

• All service and example fees are for service during regular business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. For service outside of these hours a $15 surcharge will apply.

For residential service addresses, payment is required at time of service. For non-residential service addresses, payment is required in advance.
